What is a Minkey?  And what the hell is this site about anyway?

WELL – this site is my blog which usually, (ok always) details a trip somewhere.  Initially trips were primarily business oriented and I would sneak in a week-end or an extra day to explore the city or area that I was posted to.  But about a year and a half ago I decided it was time to shake things up a bit and consequently sold my home, quit my job, and decided to travel around the world for a year.  Now this page is supposed to be detailing all the different countries and cities that I am moving through as I make my way across the globe.  Unfortunately, it is not getting updated frequently (a procrastinating blogger – hmmmm).

As for the Minkey …  of course, that is a nickname – coined I believe many years back now at a New Years Eve party that involved throwing quarters at my feet and exclaiming ‘dance minkey dance’  or something like that.  My memory is hazy on this one.  I have spent my entire life with various monikers including the following:  Mindy, Mindy Moo Moo (thanks Grandma C!), Min, Mel, Mo, M, Mindoch, Puh-pin-da, Puh-pin, Pin, Suh-sin-da, (this goes on and on, you get the idea), Melin, Melover, MC_LOVER, Dorothy (long story), Minna Kay, Minda, Clove, and Minx.
